How this is built

A script downloads KCNA’s own list of reports on his activities (the section "WPK General Secretary Kim Jong Un’s Revolutionary Activities") and the text of each report. It reads them with fixed rules: the day of the event, whether the text says he was there in person, the people named as accompanying him, the place, and any mention of his daughter or wife. No AI model is involved.

KCNA’s website only lists the last 12 months, so the record starts on 10 Oct 2025. The script runs every week and keeps everything it has already seen, so the record grows from here.

Speech texts KCNA publishes next to an event report count as part of that event. When he watched something on a screen ("observed the test-fire on TV"), it is not counted as an appearance.

Checked by hand: 50 parsed reports were compared with the KCNA text (date, presence, place, names, daughter). The first pass found 6 errors (dates further down the article, one place); after fixing the rules, a fresh sample of 25 matched on every field.
